Beautiful Hand Made "Hashmina" Shawls

himalyan hemp protein powder uk us top quality 6
Beautiful, soft, fine shawl for all seasons made from the finest organic hemp fabric and Himalayan organic wool (50% Hemp/50% Wool) woven in the traditional pashmina style. The name “Hashmina©” comes from the use of the cannabis sativa plant in the manufacture of the hemp fibre.

The hemp plants are cultivated in the Indian Himalayan Region using the ‘natural farming method’ and the shawls are made for you by the ladies of the villages.

Every purchase of our products helps to re-establish work and opportunities to thrive for communities in one of the harshest regions of the world where villages have been abandoned and left derelict in the 20th century. Our work helps to bring families back to area and re-inhabit their villages and provides hope for a long-term future in their ancestral heartland.

More Durable Than Cotton

Hemp fabric is at least 3 times stronger than cotton fabric

Breathable

Hemp is a breathable fabric and doesn’t hold moisture

More Natural Look

Hemp fibre can take a large number of colours and actually be spun into a number of colors without using dye

Lasts Longer

Unlike cotton, hemp has a considerably longer lifespan.

Why Should You Buy Our Hemp Fabric?

naturally grown hemp fabrics

A characterful hardy fabric with the colour from dyed yarn (as opposed to dyed fabric) giving a natural look with substantial feel and handle (feels and handles like linen). Hemp is also naturally biodegradable so won’t contribute to the growing pollution problem when it reaches the end of its useful life. Join the organic revolution and save yourself, others and our planet.

Our naturally grown hemp fabrics are ideal for a whole range of uses including apparel, bedding and close to skin use – the fabric feels soothing and cooling and its natural antimicrobial, hypoallergenic qualities make it perfect for people with sensitive skin, allergies and other conditions. The fabric softens with ever wash and the handling and feel just gets better and better with age.

Invest in a way of life

Existing fashion trends have resulted in increasing the carbon footprint. Switching to hemp fabric means less use of pesticides and water. The house of Hemptology offers you fabric which is cool and stylish. You can feel the soft and gentle touch of the Himalayas.

I purchased some of your hemp chambray recently and made this shirt for my husband for Christmas.
It’s really lovely quality fabric to work with so I wondered if your customers might be interested in seeing what it looks like made up.

Naturally Farmed Hemp:

Masanobu Fukuoka (1913–2008) of Japan introduced the natural farming system in his book The One-Straw Revolution published in 1975

The main principles of natural farming are:

No Plowing: Seeds germinate naturally even when spread on untilled land if the ecological conditions are right.
No Weeding: If a crop is suitable for a natural ecosystem, so are the weeds that grow there. Crop grows better if the weeds are allowed to stay.
No Pruning: Any plant or crop must be allowed to grow naturally, without human intervention. Pruning artificially controls plant growth.
No Fertilizers or Manures: Plants do not need either chemical fertilizers or organic manures if the ecosystem is right for the plant to grow.

Natural biodiversity is all that plants need to grow in a healthy manner. They get all the sustenance they need from nature.

All our hemp products are naturally farmed.
